Dr. Muhammad Zubair
Sr. Staff Ultrasound Engineer
Muhammad has 10+ years of experience in ultrasound research and development. He has primarily focused on creating ultrasound devices and treatment delivery strategies for neuromodulation, targeted hyperthermia, and thermal ablation therapies. Muhammad's expertise encompasses device design, bioacoustic thermal modeling, device characterization, ultrasound image guidance, and the use of both theoretical and experimental techniques to develop and evaluate ultrasound therapy devices prior to clinical implementation. He has developed image-guided ultrasound systems that produce precise shaped heating patterns, resulting in more controllable and conformable heating potentially leading to better therapeutic responses and fewer complications compared to other modalities. Muhammad holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Imperial College London, completed postdoctoral research at UCSF and Stanford, and has consulted for various startups, developing treatment plans and advancing devices from concept to proof of concept, contributing to both pre-clinical and clinical trials.
